Experienced - Full Time Hotel Receptionist

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Receptionist to join our busy Reception team.

As a hotel receptionist, your main duties would include:

  • dealing with bookings by phone, e-mail, letter, fax or face-to-face
  • completing procedures when guests arrive and leave
  • choosing rooms and handing out keys
  • preparing bills and taking payments
  • taking and passing on messages to guests
  • dealing with special requests from guests
  • answering questions about what the hotel offers and the surrounding area
  • dealing with complaints or problems
  • You will need good administration and customer service skills.

Hours:

Reception shifts start from 7.00am-3.00pm (early) 3.00pm - 11.00pm (late) You will also be required to work weekends and bank holidays as well as week day shifts.

Experience:

Experience would be an advantage but full training will be given to the right candidate.

The Park Hotel is a full service Hotel conveniently located for access to the very important docklands, which will open the gateway for major export from the thriving and historic city of Liverpool. 61 Bedroom hotel, also housing a beautiful Restaurant & Bar, 2 large Function rooms and 3 small conference rooms. Banqueting up to 300 covers per night.

What is the main purpose of the role?

You’ll proactively contribute to the Conference Coordination Team to ensure the growth of the Events business, ensuring the department are proactively looking for opportunities to upsell in order to maximise occupancy and revenue.

It is key that all clients receive a polite, professional and efficient service, ensuring all property and company standards are maintained and all current legislation is adhered to.

Working as part of the venue team to ensure that all contact with customers and guests transpires to become a reflection of the venue’s consistent delivery of the highest quality standards of product and service.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with previous hospitality or conference & events sales experience.

It is essential that you have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients and colleagues at all levels.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To host function room viewings for perspective clients including Weddings, Celebrations and funerals etc.
  • To ensure venue bookings are managed to maximise sales, occupancy and revenue.
  • To upsell all Conference and Events Equipment, Food and Beverage and other venue facilities when taking bookings.
  • To identify all sales opportunities and effectively convert into bookings.
  • To liaise with the accounts department and assist where necessary in the collection of all outstanding payments.

Liverpool based Company requires F & B Assistants for Hotel situated on the outskirts of Liverpool. (L30) 61 Bedroom hotel, also housing a beautiful Restaurant & Bar, 2 large Function rooms and 3 small conference rooms. Banqueting up to 300 covers per night.

Job Role:

  • Responsible for taking orders for food and drink
  • Taking PRIDE in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness
  • Providing a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with patrons
  • Collecting money for drinks served and providing change as needed
  • Checking identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers
  • Keeping a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories
  • Cleaning the bar, tables, chairs, and work area to maintain a sanitary environment
